Morning after breakfast, start your sightseeing at 10.00 am. Today, you will explore the major sightseeing in Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park (Rajamala), which is worth to visit during your days at Munnar. You can see the Nilgiri Tahr there, but do not touch them. Approximately 700 Nilgiri Tahr are there in Eravikulam national park, which is the highest wild population in the world. The Nilgiri Tahr, (Nilgiritragus hylocrius Ropiquet and Hassanin, 2005) is an endangered caprid listed in Schedule I of the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972 and categorized as ‘endangered’ by the IUCN. Visit Blossom Hydel Park and Rose Garden by afternoon.
Later after lunch, proceed to Mattupetty direction with a visit at Mattupetty Dam. If you are lucky, you can see the wild elephants on the way. Then visit Munnar top station, located around 32 km away from Munnar, is the highest point (1700m) in Munnar and this place falls on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of Western Ghats and the valley of Theni district of Tamil Nadu. If time permits, visit Eco point which is another greenery place. It is covered with plenty green sceneries. After sunset, ride back to resort for the night stay with some good travel memories.
